Welcome

Welcome to Claremont, California. The fifth best city in the United States. At least that is what the paper says, what the record says. Hiden under in fine print it says the truth. Claremont is a crime infested town. It you crossed out the highschool, sure what was said would be the truth, their college, Pomona College keeps the rate lower, but the high school is infested with drug addicts, rapists, murderers, and suicidal teens. Will the truth be uncovered, or will it stay hidden forever?

If his parents found out he'd have been toast. Sure, the Apple Pan was a great place to eat with high reviews and everything, but his parents didn't approve of what they called "common" places like this. But Sam loved fast food; he loved its greasiness and its common-ness. Back home in England they had butlers and servants and ...you name it, they had it. So naturally, they very rarely ate food like this. Sam's elder brother, Cayne, could live with that, but the twins hated it. The two of them often said they'd trade their wealth with anyone, anyday for even nothing in return. But that's easier said than done.

It was a normal, ordinary day and it just happened to be one of those days were Sam and Luke actually weren't to be seen together together. The twins were hardly ever seen individually; it was always the two of them. It had been like that since they were young, but now they were closer than ever since the two of them were in California and the rest of their family were back in London.

Anyway, point is that Sam was at the Apple Pan alone. He was dressed quite casually, wearing white combats, a white tshirt with a black zipup and a black cap. Sunglasses of Versace shaded his aqua blue eyes; not that it was a really sunny day or anything. He wore them to add style to his outfit; well, kind of. He also wore them just in case some sort of paparazzi dude recognised him and took a photo of him eating at a fast food place. It would be a scandal back home.

He walked into the fast food place and up to the main counter as he waited for one of the waiters to see what he wanted to eat. He played a game on his mobile phone as he waited.
"Yes, can I take your order?" Sam looked up and glanced at the waitress standing there. She was rather attractive, if he could be quite frank.
"Hm?" he said absent mindedly.
"Are you ready to order?"
Sam nodded slowly.
"Just a cheeseburger," he said. "And a coke."
"Fries?"
Sam shrugged. "I guess so," he said. The waitress walked off and Sam watched her disappear into the kitchens to place the order. Sam shrugged again, to himself, as he walked off to find a empty table (which wasn't too hard because surprisingly, not many people were there that day)

He was in for a long wait for his food, so he had been told. Apparently the food was terrific but took very long to arrive. Sam sighed as he continued playing games on his mobile. He didn't really know why he was alone and why he had not bothered to tell Luke or any of his other friends to join him; he'd plenty of them but hadn't bothered to call any of them.
So he was there, alone. He would have liked some company, though. It would have been nice.
